hard to judge...

its definitely a great game, its rare to see such a good engine, but I didn't like it for some reason... honestly, I think if the sprites looked a little better it would be a classic... plus the levels are either too easy, or too hard, the controls aren't easy to master... and I can't even imagine how someone can get good enough to unlock the ??? thing from the hell on earth difficulty, I hope if you make a sequel, you'll make it much better.

Glad it was enjoyable to a point, but I need to have clearer feedback to see if things need to be adjusted.
- What was detering about the sprites? Was it because they were 8bit-ish? Was it because of their size? Are you biased of 32bit graphics?
- The game is best played with a gamepad, see the link above.
- There's been 4 people to clear Hell on Earth so far. It's beastly, but it can be done.
- Define much better for me. Easier? Slower? Higher res graphics?

Undenyably one of the best submisions ever.

Very well done! I have a couple of suggestions though....
More money after combat

faster combat

more enemys

make every plot point useful(climbing, swimming, etc)

Have a save button(and also be able to restart without the reset... who wants to earn that anvil armory stuff just to loose it all at the end?)

Make a way to enter that forest

More characters?(maybe a chicken?)

Better steal comand(items?)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm definitely working on all that, except for more characters - I have to animate a hundred sequences for each of those characters, so hopefully four will be a good selection and it won't take forever to finish.
